This Cookie Policy explains how WorkHub Today uses cookies and similar technologies on the website workhub.today. It complements our Privacy Statement and is intended to satisfy the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR requirements for transparent, granular cookie consent.
1. What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to remember information about you — for example, whether you have visited before, what your preferences are, or whether you are logged in. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. This policy uses "cookie" loosely to mean all of these.
2. Cookies We Currently Use
WorkHub Today's marketing website (workhub.today) currently sets the following cookies. Most of our product functionality lives inside the WorkHub mobile app, which is governed separately by our Privacy Statement.
| Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Remembers your cookie consent choice so we don't show the banner on every visit. | 12 months |
| Analytics | None set today. When we add aggregate usage analytics (e.g. to understand which landing sections perform best), they will only fire after you grant consent. | — |
| Marketing | None set today and none planned for the marketing website. We do not track you for advertising. | — |
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are those required for the website to function or to provide you with a service you have explicitly requested. Under the ePrivacy Directive these can be set without consent.
- workhub-cookie-consent — stores your cookie preference (Accepted / Rejected / Customized). Without it, we would have to ask you on every page load.
4. Analytics Cookies
We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future to understand how visitors discover the platform and where they get stuck. When this happens, we will:
- Update this page with the specific tool's name (e.g. Plausible, Fathom, or self-hosted Matomo).
- Only fire the analytics script after you click Accept or Accept Analytics in the banner.
- Configure the tool to anonymize IP addresses and respect Do Not Track signals.
- Never sell or share analytics data with third parties.
5. Marketing & Tracking Cookies
We do not currently use, and have no plans to use, cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking on the marketing website. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and require explicit opt-in via the cookie banner before any such cookie is set.
6. Third-Party Services
The marketing website itself does not embed third-party widgets that set cookies (no Facebook pixels, no LinkedIn tags, no Hotjar). The page is intentionally minimal so you can read it without surrendering data.
The WorkHub mobile app does communicate with the following third parties, but those interactions are not cookie-based (they are mobile API calls):
- Apple — for in-app purchases via StoreKit and for Sign in with Apple authentication.
- Hosting provider (Hetzner) — for the backend API. Standard server access logs only.
7. Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- Banner — use the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize.
- This page — click the button below to re-open the preferences panel.
- Your browser — most browsers let you block cookies entirely via Settings → Privacy & Security. Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookie above means you may see the banner on every visit.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we introduce new cookies (e.g. when we activate analytics) or when the legal landscape changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will not introduce a new cookie category retroactively without giving you a fresh consent prompt.
